Measurement requirements

Customer on-site application examples

At the production site of Poten Heavy Industry, engineers need to measure and analyze the flatness and parallelism of the machining surfaces ① and ② (please refer to Figure 2).

Firstly, the operator places the Radian laser tracker in a suitable position in front of the workpiece, connects the Radian laser tracker to a laptop, and turns it on. This completes the preparation work before measurement and starts measurement at any time.

In the second step, the operator uses a tracker target ball (SMR) to take measurements on two planes: ① and ②. After the target ball touches the position to be measured, the laser tracker immediately measures and collects the three-dimensional data of the spatial point at a collection rate of 1000 points/second, and sends it to the measurement software on the laptop for storage.

Step 3: After the three-dimensional data collection of all the positions to be measured is completed, the software can use the data collected from points on planes ① and ② to fit the standard plane, and achieve distance analysis from each measurement point to the standard plane, thereby obtaining flatness analysis data; After constructing two planes, parallelism comparison can also be achieved.
